- Without the particulars of the shot I can't get into specifics, but you
- might try localized lighting. Several other tips:

- i) Always use falloff! (except when you know when to break the rules)
- Estimate light intensity by the falloff radius visible in the ortho
- views. Remember that if you want to light something with a certain
- light, putting it at the very edge of the falloff radius isn't going to
- do much for it.

- ii) Break rules! Three-point lighting was designed for an essentially
- 2-dimensional soundstage. You're doing 3D...

- iii) Study movie lighting! There is a very real correlation between
- real-world lighting and LW lights. Coming from a production background
- helps.
